    Job Overview
    Responsible for regulatory and financial reporting, revenue recognition, project accounting, AR collections, budget and forecast preparation, capital expenditure investment analyses, as well as development and deployment of internal control policies and procedures for the Longmont, CO facility. Role will primarily support the site leadership, but will also have responsibilities supporting the centralized business unit finance team in Durham, NC.-- Reports to the Business Unit Controller with matrix reporting to the Site Leader.
    Responsibilities
    • Support site Director and other site business leaders on financial performance of the site, with focus on revenue, EBITDA, and all elements of free cash flow; provide commentary/causals for variances to budget and contemporary trends
    • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of the site project accounting function, which includes revenue recognition, invoicing/billing, and customer credits and collections
    • Manage the preparation of the site annual budget and monthly financial forecasts and report variances leadership
    • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and variances to forecast
    • Manage capital expenditure process to include project identification, justification, and cash flow forecasting
    • Supervise site Project Accountant as a direct report
    • Prepare and publish timely monthly/quarterly reporting requirements
    • Support month-end and year-end close process, including analyses and journal entries, as needed
    • Responsible for auditing site's fixed assets in accordance with Company policy
    • Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of controls and checks across all departments
    • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and local tax filings
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
    • Collaborate with auditing services and internal finance teams on data requests, as needed
      Qualifications/Skills
      • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
      • Solid experience supporting audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts receivable, and accounting for investments
      • Experience with creating financial statements
      • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
      • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
      • High attention to detail
      • Strong organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners
      • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
      • SAP Project Systems experience preferred
      • Hyperion reporting experience preferred

        Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
        • 7+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a role as a Controller with supervisory experience
        • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
        • CPA preferred
