Job Description:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of all inventory control processes. They, along with a team of material handlers, will work to support the manufacturing segment of McKesson Prescription Automation .KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop internal best practices in areas of inventory control, systems integration and optimization, along with demand forecasting and planning. * Administer and oversee the organization's warehouses, including processing, labeling, and secure storage of supplies, materials, and equipment. * Establish guidelines for maintaining control over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods). * Responsible for all direct and indirect internal movement of materials using established procedures drawn from ERP, including pick lists and job travelers. * Analyze, investigate, and correct inventory discrepancies based on regular cycle counts. * Work closely with Production Management to understand schedules for production builds and shipments. * Work with Purchasing Management to develop optimal inventory levels (Lead Times, Min-Max, Reorder Point, Reorder Quantities, and Safety Stocks) to minimize overstocking and transportation expediting. * Develop, motivate, and train a team of material handlers to optimize performance. * Collaborate effectively across the organization and help lead to resolution of issues. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/Training: * B.S. Degree in Business or a Management related field or relevant qualifications or relevant experience. Business Experience: * Five+ years of related progressive experience, extensive knowledge of Production & Inventory Control Management in a manufacturing environment. * Prior working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) a MUST * Experience in Epicor a plus. * Prior management experience a must Specialized Knowledge/Skills: * This position requires a high range of analytical, decision making, problem solving, organizational skills, along with strong verbal and written communication. * One must have the ability to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner with a degree of tenacity, if appropriate.
