The Building Materials "Dispatch" oversees the material pack
builders and schedules deliveries.
DIRECT SUPERVISOR : Operations Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Knowledge of the store layout, inventory, company policy, etc.
Enforce store policy with Customers and Staff.
Working with Operations Manager to identify and improve practices
and procedures related to deliveries.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of staging area.
Ability to organize a daily workload by priority.
Perform and or assist in cycle counts and physical inventory.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attend safety meetings as needed.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Product knowledge in building materials
Ensure orders are built and loaded correctly
Call customers when deliveries are on the way
Strong communication with yard, sales, and drivers
Schedule trucks the most economical and fuel efficient way
Invoice delivered orders and processing job-site returns
Superior Customer Service Skills
Computer skills include Microsoft suite, POS software, DDMS
Excellent Communication and Organization Skills
Strong decision-making skills
Knowledge of DOT rules/required logs and compliances
