System Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., Solid State Drive (SSD)
team, you are part of the Product Development Team (PDT)
responsible for taking SSDs from design to high volume
manufacturing.This will involve assisting the Product Development
Lead in delivering SSD products aligned with a product delivery
roadmap and schedule, having a system level understanding of the
product in order to lead debug of system level issues.Additional
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- Lead debug activities during product development
- Perform system level testing
- Support the Product Development Lead
- Provide updates to the Product Development Team
- Feed forward system lessons learned for future products
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drive capabilities
- Mentor SE team members on debug of large sophisticated
issuesFor this position, you must have the ability to work in a
team environment as well as the ability to work and maintain good
relationships with worldwide suppliers and customers It is also
essential that you have very good verbal and written skills in
addition to excellent documentation, leadership, and
problem-solving skills.Technical capabilities should include:
- Failure Analysis through a structured problem solving
methodology with hands on lab experience
- Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize task
- Full comprehension of the latest storage PCIe and NVMe
interface specifications, and their implementation
- Full comprehension of NAND and DRAM media specifications and
operation
- Ability to drive system engineering efforts through all aspects
of new product development and system level debug
- Ability to work with and maintain good relationships with other
functional teams, internal customers and external customers
- Outstanding communication skills with multi-functional
development teams and external customers
- Ability to mentor and guideEducation and Experience:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or
Computer Science or related field
- 10 years proven experience
- Direct knowledge of SSD products and system application
- Proven experience with NAND flash and SSD ASIC
- Strong understating of PCIe and NVMe interface protocol
- Hardware design and debug hands-on experience and proficiency
with common lab tools such as logic analyzers, protocol analyzers,
oscilloscopes etc.
- Familiarity with JIRA and ConfluenceThe US base salary range
that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time
position is:$136,000.00 - $264,000.00Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on
each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new
hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the
range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional
job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience,
tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject
to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share

during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include
