Job Information

The Director of Global Channel Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing worldwide channel marketing program strategies and promotional campaigns, including turnkey marketing programs, demand/lead generation programs, the development and management of the worldwide partner automation tools, web content and partner portal content.  Must have experience with 2-tier channel strategy in high tech. 

About the responsibilities

Drive ongoing communications with Resellers and End User Customers including but not limited to:

Customer Promotions

Channel Incentive Programs

Lead generation activities

Company & Executive updates

Program updates

Develop and drive lead generation strategy, generating qualified prospects for the Channel organization.  Includes working with the Field Marketing organization on ongoing nurturing programs.

Design and implement measurements to quantify ROI from channel marketing programs, quarterly promotion campaigns and co-marketing activities with Channel Partners, Master Agents and Sale Agents

Management of Channel incentive programs (SPIFF’s) and Channel Partner MDF Programs

Work closely with Communications, Campaign and Solutions Marketing on development and production of partner enablement tools and other campaign-related collateral.

Manage marketing automation system and data to enable successful partner campaign setup and execution.

Maintain and manage content on partner portal and avaya.com website

Internal liaison responsible for communicating all partner programs, promotions and lead generation activities.

Support and liaison with our global Partner Advisory Council and Partner Community Councils

  • 8+ years of strong working knowledge/experience in voice and/or IT networking systems and technologies, such as knowledge of Service as a Solution (SaaS) technologies including switches, PBX’s, PC’s, Servers, LAN, WAN and traditional voice solutions

Demonstrated success in supporting/building VAR, Master Agent and Sales Agent relationships

Strategic thinker, but detail oriented

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Ability to speak in front of groups as it relates to Channel Marketing., Marketing Communications and PR activities

Fun loving, positive attitude excellent interpersonal skills

Experience in working closely with sales, marketing, client services, development, executive management and product management to meet the needs of the business

Successful history of achieving stretch goals and objectives

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.  Strong written and verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand technical information.  Ability to solve problems of diverse scope through analysis of identifiable factors.  Advanced computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.  Requires strong initiative, the ability to take direction and complete assignments as necessary and the ability to work effectively under deadline pressure.  Some travel will be required.
