About our group:This team sets and aligns corporate product regulatory certification direction. You will be part of the over Quality organization and part of a motivated team that rewards results!About the role - you will:1. Lead the Global Compliance Council, comprised of product compliance, legal, ITA, and other leaders. This team sets and aligns corporate product regulatory certification direction Work closely with internal Legal and ITA teams to interpret regulation changes Provide executive level communication on the global compliance roadmap and company compliance direction based on cross-functional inputs Understand country requirements to sell into countries Work closely with customer teams to understand customer requirements and implementation of changes to meet regulatory requirements. Seagate product compliance changes must be in sync with customer and regulatory expectations Work closely with outside testing labs and certifying bodies to understand future requirements, applicability to Seagate products and identify preferred partners for product groups to work with who are qualified, knowledgeable, accurate, timely, responsive, and cost-effective in providing testing and certification services Lead compliance council meeting, including updates on GMA (issues, roadmap etc) Coordinate annual compliance strategy summit 2. In collaboration with the Compliance Council, drive company-wide alignment to regulatory certifications and updates, including methodology, standards, and documentation Understand global regulation changes, impact to STX products, and guiding implementation into different business units Define global compliance roadmap (in collaboration with corporate input) Identify applicable requirements - from initial proposals, effective dates and through the approval process Communicate Seagate's position on changes and product impact Work with all applicable teams to ensure they understand and develop execution plans to meet the requirements and implementation deadlines Provide input on background and references for customer change notifications Identify data to be included in sdocs, manuals and agency labeling Stay up to date on global regulatory changes that impact all Seagate products and advise applicable teams on actions needed Participate in forums (sem/webinars, conferences and professional societies) Recommend and subscribe to outside services to access necessary information to keep Seagate products up to date with current and future requirements Prepare annual budget for the associated corporate compliance costs 3. Provide support for customer-facing teams by providing required documentation Manage the GMA (AODocs) document database - provide rapid, simplified access Work with team members on labels, manuals, packaging and conformity declarations Maintain and improve product compliance resources: Product regulatory certification and test report database - AODocs Product regulatory compliance manuals and other documentation Product regulatory compliance information on internal and external websites Compliance information guide for customer facing teams (CTS, sales, TCM...) Provide input to STX website to maintain STX regulatory guides Standardize infrastructure to support customer facing teams Contribute to technical content requirements for customer documentation Drive one consolidated STX compliance manual across STX About you:Proactive work style with ability to manage multiple tasks Demonstrate leadership, decision making, problem solving and collaboration skills Interpersonal and communication skills within various levels of the organization Proven team player and able to assimilate with existing team members Your experience includes:Familiar with (including but not limited to) EU RoHS2, REACH and WEEE directives Must have working knowledge of ITE product safety standard EN/UL/IEC 60950 Experience in working with product regulation, interfacing with test labs and vendors Worked with agency certification labs (UL etc) Experience working in multi-location certification projects with international project teams and across multiple time zones Experienced in all phases of the product life cycle Track record of successful project management Proactive work style with ability to manage multiple tasks Experience in implementing product compliance and training programs Degree in: Engineering sciences; mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrialPrefer PHD or MS with 5+ years of Product Safety, EMC and Environmental compliance experience, and minimum of 3 years managerial experience Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated salary range for this position: $141,000 - $206,000. Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
