The Materials and S&OP Leader leads the sales and
operational planning process for the Nexus Controls business, in
addition to material planning and procurement. With oversight for 3
manufacturing facilities globally, this position contributes to
overall Nexus Controls business strategy, partnering with other
functional leaders to develop and execute a strategic business plan
to grow and optimize the Nexus Controls business.
Implement a sales and operational planning program (S&OP) to
connect the businesses sales plan and monthly progress to the sales
plan with capacity planning, materials management, and product
lifecycle management that enables the business to optimize revenue,
margins, and free cash flow.
Lead global forecasting for parts and packaged system projects
across all regions, collaborating with the Product Line and
Commercial teams to drive an accurate forecast.
Develop the strategic inventory plan across 3 Nexus Control
manufacturing facilities and 6 shared Baker Hughes facilities to
manage and control inventory while enabling sales opportunities and
increased order convertibility.
Work with local teams to ensure utilization of ERP systems
(SAP), adhering to comprehensive processes & procedures and
compliance to standards
Manage capacity and loading across shared global factories
Interface with regions, product line and manufacturing teams to
track forecast accuracy, product/platform health, quarterly risks &
opportunities, on-time delivery performance and inventory
Collaborate with Quality and Technology leadership to drive
improvement in material obsolescence and cost of quality
Coach and mentor local teams through materials management best
Facilitate Lean Action Work-Outs to achieve process improvement
objectives and work inclusively across all functions involved in
and supporting the workstream
Report results and issues to appropriate audiences including key
executive leadership and process team members
Drive the operations team towards execution of business goals,
operational excellence and efficiency
Drive a collaborative, cross-functional partnership with global
functions, other supporting functions, and external parties for
Partner with business leaders on long-term planning activities
for the business and operational execution.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or
equivalent experience (5+ years’ experience)
Experience in S&OP and forecasting, inventory optimization
and management, asset utilization and management
Deep knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality
Ability to work with and influence stakeholders
Strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing processes, requisition
engineered packaged systems manufacturing, and ERP systems such as
Multi-sites management experience, whether direct or by
Demonstrated leadership to successfully motivate and drive
accountability for the regional team through employee involvement
and teamwork in a global organization
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects. Ability to
document, plan, market, and execute programs.
