Job Description:
Omitron is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the design,
implementation, and continuous improvement of software development
pipelines and infrastructure for Cross Domain Solution (CDS) data
transformation within the CROWN program in Colorado Springs, CO .
In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, system
engineers, and test teams to build and maintain pipelines,
environments, and automation that enable reliable delivery of
mission-critical data processing systems. You will support CI/CD
pipelines, environment orchestration, and deployment workflows that
ensure correctness, traceability, and repeatability across
development, integration, and operational environments. These
systems require a high degree of reliability and consistency due to
their role in secure data exchange across mission systems. This
position supports a flexible work environment. Remote work may be
considered for highly qualified candidates based on program needs.
Otherwise, this role operates in a hybrid model with periodic
in-office presence in Colorado Springs to support integration,
testing, and collaboration activities. Responsibilities: Design,
implement, and maintain GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines supporting
development, integration, and deployment of CDS data processing
systems Automate build, test, and deployment workflows within CI/CD
pipelines to improve reliability, repeatability, and delivery
efficiency Support environment provisioning, configuration, and
management across development, integration, and operational
environments Collaborate with software and test engineers to
integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Monitor system
performance, pipeline execution, and environment health; identify
and resolve issues and bottlenecks Manage containerized
environments and support orchestration platforms for application
deployment Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices, including
vulnerability scanning and compliance checks Support version
control, artifact management, and configuration management
processes Develop and maintain documentation for pipelines,
environments, and deployment processes Participate in iterative or
hybrid development cycles, supporting release planning and
integration activities Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipeline
performance, reliability, and developer usability Minimum
Requirements: US Citizenship required Security Clearance : Must be
eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,
Information Technology, or a related field Experience: 2 years of
experience in DevOps, systems administration, or software
development Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD strongly
preferred; Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar acceptable)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
Proficiency in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash,
PowerShell, or similar) Understanding of version control systems,
particularly Git Strong problem-solving skills and ability to
troubleshoot pipeline, environment, and integration issues Ability
to work collaboratively with software, test, and systems
engineering teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting
DoD or other government software programs Familiarity with
DevSecOps practices and secure software development environments
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform,
Ansible, or similar) Experience with container orchestration
platforms (e.g., Kubernetes or similar) Familiarity with cloud or
hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar) Experience
designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, and
integrated DevSecOps workflows Experience integrating automated
testing into CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with monitoring and
observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks or RMF processes Current
DoD Security Clearance Compensation and Benefits: The salary range
for this role is $105,000 to $135,000 , depending on relevant
experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include: Health,
