Job Description:
Intrado Life & Safety is adding a Technical Project Manager to
the team due to rapid growth. The Technical Project Manager will be
responsible for managing projects and providing leadership to
assigned team members on software development, technical
implementation, and process improvement projects; proactively
oversee the quality resolution of project issues; establish a good
working relationship with senior management, internal departments,
and external contacts in order to meet project goals and
objectives.Candidates with Telecommunications experience will be
highly considered. Essential Duties: Project Management - Provide
leadership and direction on all assigned projects ensuring
followthrough from beginning to end of project management life
cycle* Establish standards and strategy for each project* Identify
task force members and assign specific tasks and responsibilities*
Continuously monitor tasks and project assignments; identify and
resolve problem* Develop final report with findings and
recommendations for managementProblem Resolution - Proactively
oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of problems
related to area of responsibility* Respond with a sense of urgency
to problems escalated to employee's level* Escalate to supervisor
any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely
impact the services being provided* Place the highest priority on
providing quality customer service by overseeing all activities of
staff, ensuring the unique needs of customers are met* Ensure
quality resolution and thorough and accurate documentation of
customer issues* Provide analysis and feedback to management staff
and appropriate departments regarding recurring problems,
recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of
problems* Participate in creating, administering, and continuously
updating procedures for resolution of all related issuesProject
Testing and Implementation - As needed, participate in activities
involved in testing, implementation, and establishing on-going
support for technical projects or project tasks* Review test
results with management and end users, securing confirmation that
test findings meet expected results* Observe and monitor activities
when project is implemented to ensure all problems and issues are
identified and resolved* Create and maintain project files that are
well documented, efficiently organized, and adhere to departmental
policies and procedures for each phase of the project* Ensure
documentation is stored in a manner that adheres to departmental
methodologies* Participate in establishing implementation plan and
timeframe for installation adjusting schedule as necessary*
Participate in hand off of project after implementation ensuring
procedures for on-going support are established* If necessary, meet
with vendors and/or consultants to evaluate systems, enhancements
or softwareTeam Interfaces - Establish and maintain a professional
relationship with team members and department contacts* Cooperate
with team members to meet goals or complete tasks* Escalate work
flow and communication issues to supervisor* Treat all
internal/external customers and team members with
dignity/respectMental and Physical Requirements*This position will
be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be
expected to work near or around computers, telephones, and
printers*The nature of the work in this position is sedentary and
the incumbent will be sitting most of the time*Essential physical
functions of the job include typing, grasping, pulling hand over
hand, andrepetitive motions to utilize general computer
software/hardware continuously throughout the workday*Essential
mental functions of this position include concentrating on tasks,
reading information,and verbal/written communication to others

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant for this job will be expected to
meet the following minimum qualifications.Education* Bachelor's
degree in business administration, computer science, management
information systems, or a related field is required. Equivalent
work experience in a similar position may be substituted for
educational requirementsExperience* Minimum of three years
increasingly responsible project management experience required
with an emphasis on technical capabilities preferredOther*
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint required* Intermediate knowledge of project tracking
software preferred* Project Management Professional (PMP)
