Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This night shift position offers a unique opportunity to work at a nonprofit Colorado-based healthcare system, known for its commitment to patient-centered care and state-of-the-art medical facilities. The role requires a high level of proficiency in managing complex patient situations in a high-stress environment. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor patient health and progress while effectively communicating with the medical team. Respond to medical emergencies with precision and efficiency, ensuring swift stabilization of patients. Administer medications, maintain detailed documentation and assist in surgeries or other medical procedures. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques. Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in using healthcare software and electronic health records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado BLS/CPR certification ACLS certification preferred
