Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in
Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our
dynamic float pool specifically in the Birth Center during the
night shift. This position offers the unique opportunity to work
across various birthing environments within our network, providing
high-quality, compassionate care to patients during one of the most
significant times in their lives. The ideal candidate will be
highly flexible, adaptable, and committed to maintaining the
highest standards of patient care across different settings within
our birth centers. This role is essential in ensuring the
continuity of care and operational efficiency throughout our
facilities during overnight shifts. Provide direct nursing care in
a diverse range of birthing settings from conventional birth suites
to high-dependency units. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
patient care needs including both mothers and newborns. Document
patient care services by charting in patient and department
records. Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and
communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Ensure
the safety and well-being of patients by strictly adhering to
guidelines and regulations of the birth center. Assist in the
training and orientation of new staff as needed. Proficiency in all
aspects of labor and delivery nursing. Ability to operate under
high stress situations in high-acuity environments. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational
skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities. In-depth
knowledge of health and safety guidelines and practices
(sanitation, decontamination, etc.). Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado CPR and BLS certified;
ACLS and PALS preferred NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
certification preferable
