We are seeking a Locum Tenens Cardiovascular Surgeon in Colorado . Locum Tenens Cardiovascular Surgeon Position Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Physician - Surgery - Cardiovascular Location: Colorado Rate: Open & Negotiable Shift: 24-hour call (6a 6a); weekends with occasional weekday vacation coverage Start Date: As soon as credentialed End Date: Ongoing Position Details: Patient Population: 100% Adult Setting: Hospital-based Responsibilities: Call coverage for CV surgery service; average 1 2 admissions/day, 8 10 ICU patients, 1 2 surgeries/day Required Procedures: General CV/Thoracic Surgery Coronary artery bypass surgery (on- and off-pump) Repair of congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO) Valvular repair/replacement Aneurysm repair (cardiac & aorto-thoracic) ECMO cannulation and patient stabilization for transfer EMR System: Epic Support Staff: 2 physicians, 5 mid-levels Days Per Month: 1 2 weeks/month On-Call/Weekends: Yes (weekends required, some weekday call possible) Submission Requirements: Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery (ABMS/AOA) REQUIRED Active Colorado License or IMLC REQUIRED ACLS & BLS (AHA only) REQUIRED (or willing to obtain) Able to perform all required procedures REQUIRED Clean background/no malpractice REQUIRED COVID vaccinated REQUIRED (must note) Able to perform heart surgery; focus on cardiac cases REQUIRED (note years of experience) Join us today!
