The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking staff to lead our summer day camp programs as site directors. We are looking for welcoming, motivated, kid-experienced staff, who are 21 years or older. Most importantly, we are looking for people who are passionate about fun, the outdoors and day camp.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and coordinates program areas, ensuring high quality programs.
• Develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers.
• Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed. Qualifications:
  • 21 years or older
  • CPR and First Aid certification (we can provide this).
  • AND have at least one of the following
    • A four-year degree in a related field OR
    • 48 semester hours of college credit AND 910 hours of experience in a licensed program since turning 18 OR
    • 5640 hours of experience working directly with school-age children with a group of 4 or more unrelated school age children.
      Salary range is $19-22/ hour based on experience and availability. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. Staff working more than 10 hours per week may sign up their children or siblings for free YMCA camp too! More about this in the benefits section.
      
      You'll serve 16 to 40 hours a week between 7:30a to 4:30p M-F. No evenings. No weekends (except one required weekend training May 20-21st) This position is seasonal between May 30st -Aug 11th. If you do not qualify at Director level, please apply for another day camp opportunity; we can assist you in finding the right placement. Seasonal part time and full time opportunities exist.
      
      All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
