Job Description:

This is a remote position. Ad Hoc is a digital services company that helps the federal government better serve people. Our teams use modern, agile methods to meet the needs of our users while closing the gap between consumer expectations and government. We're looking for people with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to improve how the government serves people. If you thrive on change and can see the possibilities in ambiguity, then we want you here with us.Work on things that matterWorking at Ad Hoc means putting your time and skills towards helping the government better serve the public. Our teams connect Veterans with services designed for their needs, help millions of people access affordable health care, and support important programs like Head Start. As we work with agencies to deliver critical services, we're also changing how the government thinks about and uses technology. This specific position will focus on partnering with the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration (DPA) oversees the State of Colorado's policies and tools for human resources and payroll practices across all three branches of government. DPA is working to replace its legacy payroll system, the Colorado Personnel & Payroll System (CPPS). CPPS serves all three branches of government, including 17 state agencies. The system runs serves 40,000 employees across 30,000 positions. It is a 35-year-old legacy COBOL-based mainframe system with an estimated 200 interfaces. In preparation for the payroll system overhaul, the DPA wants to mature their data strategy and maturity so that they will be prepared to migrate legacy data into the new solution. The vision for Payroll Data as a Product is the minimum data necessary to run payroll that is trusted, accessible and reusable, and is the starting point from which the State hopes to facilitate upgrading such systems efficiently and effectively. As the State works towards efforts to modernize the current payroll systems, there is a need to prepare the data on the front end to support successful implementation of future technology upgrades.Built for a remote lifeAd Hoc is remote-first and remote-always.
