Job Description:

products.Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing Operations, the
Director Procurement plays a senior role in overseeing all
inventory planning and procurement activities within the assigned
portfolio of product categories to ensure financial performance,
continued product availability, optimized service levels, balanced
with optimal inventory levels. - Some of the functions include
managing vendor performance, and providing leadership and vision
for mitigation of supply issues. Planning effectively managing
inventory and replenishment activities, and supporting the
Procurement strategy. The Role involves managing and developing a
Procurement Manager, -Buyer-Planners, Inventory Manager, playing a
strategic role in attaining and surpassing team objectives, which
include driving revenue, operational efficiencies and optimized
customer service levels. The Director, Procurement continuously
seeks ways to mobilize his/her team in seeking and implementing
innovative methods for supporting the Materials Strategy by
focusing on financial performance, operational and organizational
effectiveness, and overall supply planning excellence.Relationship
ManagementManages all inventory and supply planning with key
vendors in portfolio, working closely with colleagues Procurement
Strategy and Operations.Leads review with vendors and to help
manage key activities and performance challenges to ensure
suppliers adhere to schedule and on-time delivery of
products.Responsible for operational execution of vendor programs
aiming at driving revenue on the buy-side and supports Procurement
Strategy in vendor negotiations, while effectively managing
operational requirements and constraints.Collaborates and
participates as required in select vendor business reviews where
improvement opportunities are relevant.Negotiates long term supply
and service level agreements with key strategic suppliers.Inventory
and Supply PlanningHeads the supply planning and procurement
inventory planning and management, product replenishment and
upstream product logistics.Owns and monitors overall impact of
Opportunity buys including forward buys, Demand Planning and
Capacity Planning teams to help manage risk on regular, promoted
and seasonal stock.Works closely with sales and systems engineering
team to ensure timely upstream pre-bookings, planning of sales
volumes and meeting customer requirements.Reporting and
FinancialsAccountable for operational metrics, including back
orders, days of sales in inventory (DSI), aged stock, inventory
turnover, obsolescence, and supplier scorecards.Assists finance
with revenue recognition projections based on cost allocation of
outstanding POs and on hand inventory.Operational Leadership
-Liaises with the management team for key business topics and
provides timely and value-added insight and operational
direction.Develops a replenishment Operational strategy that
optimally supports the Procurement Strategy group.Works closely
with his/her team with distribution center (DC) leaders across the
country and the Logistics team to ensure alignment, continued
understanding of impacts on network and operational
requirements.People LeadershipManages, coaches, develops and
promotes staff members to help raise level of competence and
business acumen.Assures skill develop within team in general
procurement practices, company global standards, and ERP as it
relates to planning and procurement activities.Sets and carries out
objectives, and fosters a culture of performance, continuous
improvement and collaboration with Management, peers, and
subordinatesProcess ImprovementIdentifies procurement process
improvement opportunities, and collaborates closely with
Procurement Analytics and Continuous Improvement teams to identify
productivity and efficiency gains.successfully address at-risk
customers.Identify key performance metrics to hold the Customer
Experience Operations team accountable for meeting Customer and HVS
needs.OtherMaintains relevant business knowledge of product
categories and stays abreast of market and industry trends and
conditions. - -Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate
values.Working ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in
operational improvement, planning, inventory management and
procurement, replenishment, the majority (7+ years) in a management
supervisory role.Process creation, maintenance and
improvement.EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration,
Operations Management, or equivalent.MBA or MSc, CPIM or SCMP
designations are assets.Personal Development and Soft SkillsStrong
business acumen.Demonstrated leadership.Excellent partnering
skills.Excellent communication skills.Ability to collaborate with
various levels of management and employees.Technical
SkillsProficiency with ERP systems and replenishment systems an
asset.Extensive knowledge of MS Office products (Power Point,
Excel, Word, Project and Visio).Knowledge of process and project
management.Other Skills and CapabilitiesSolid experience working
with senior management.Ability to work as part of multi-functional
teams.Attention to detail, whilst maintaining a strong sense of
summary and ability to synthesize.Team player.Ability to identify

full-time, salaried position with an expected salary range of up to
$140,000+. A competitive salary is determined by the applicant's
