Job Description:
You will be an Embedded Cyber Software Engineer for a research
and development team which is responsible for investigating and
exploiting the newest technological advances to resolve complex
problems. What You Will Be Doing As an Embedded Cyber Software
Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting innovative solutions
to complex cyber software engineering problems, collaborating
closely with customers throughout the development life-cycle, and
contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. Your
responsibilities will include: Researching and developing new
software and hardware technologies with a cyber lens to resolve
complex problems. Integrate security considerations throughout the
software development lifecycle (threat modeling, hardening, code
reviews, vulnerability assessments). Collaborating with customers
throughout the development life-cycle to ensure innovative
solutions meet their needs. Contributing to a team environment that
values innovation, creativity, and teamwork. Participating in the

CITIZEN - The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret
clearance with SCI eligibility to start. LI-CS1 Basic
Qualifications • Active TS/SCI required prior to start • Deep
knowledge of microprocessor/microcontroller architectures and
low?level firmware development. such as: ARM, RISC?V, PowerPC, PIC,
AVR, C/C++, device driver development, embedded C • Hands?on
experience with embedded Linux (kernel, device?tree, drivers),
custom boot loaders, and standard debug tool?chains such as: Linux
kernel, device?tree, kernel modules, U?Boot, Coreboot, bootloader,
cross?compiler, JTAG, SWD Desired skills • Hardware bring?up &
debugging – Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer,
multimeter, JTAG/SWD, in?circuit emulators. • Analog & digital
circuit design – Schematic capture, PCB layout, signal?integrity
analysis, EAGLE/KiCad/Altium, mixed?signal troubleshooting. • RF &
wireless fundamentals – RF front?end concepts, antennas, BLE,
Wi?Fi, LoRa, modulation, filtering. • Protocol analysis &
reverse?engineering – UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, Ethernet, USB,
Wireshark, Saleae, PulseView, custom protocol decoding. • Digital
signal processing (DSP) – FIR/IIR filters, fixed?point arithmetic,
real?time audio/video processing, FFT. • Rapid prototyping &
development kits – Breadboarding, 3?D printing, CNC machining,
Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, System?on?Module (SoM). •
Software?engineering best practices – Git, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab
CI), code reviews, unit testing, Agile/Scrum, documentation. •
Communication & teamwork – Technical writing, presentations,
cross?functional collaboration, mentorship, knowledge sharing. •
Continuous learning & technology passion – Courses/certifications,
open?source contributions, personal projects, hackathons. Things

Environments (ARM TrustZone, attestation). • Advanced binary
analysis (Ghidra, IDA Pro, Radare2, Binary Ninja). • Side?channel
analysis mitigation (power/EM analysis). • Embedded security
testing (red?team exploitation of Linux kernel and user?space
bugs). • IoT protocol stacks (MQTT, CoAP, LwIP) with security
considerations. • Edge?device machine?learning inference
(TensorFlow Lite, ONNX Runtime, model optimization).

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented

this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $142,000 - $246,100. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
