Job Description:
For this opening we will consider candidates from the following
locations: Longmont,CO,United States - Intrado's Life and Safety
Team is hiring a SQA Engineer to join our team in Longmont,
Colorado. The SQA Engineer will be working with our Safety Shield
Suite.Our mission is to enhance, maintain and operate Intrado
Safety Shield, a core component of the Safety Suite for Education
solution which is used to prevent, respond to and recover from any
type of emergency with services spanning unified alerts over
IP-based endpoints, mass notifications, visitor management,
reunification and more.Safety Shield is a highly scalable and
distributed cloud service based in AWS. Core components include
React, PHP, Apache and PostgreSQL RDS services with RESTful API's
and various, modern, responsive web front ends, along with Android
& iOS mobile applications and wearable safety devices. - Safety
Shield is an end-to-end safety management platform that enables
faster and more accurate emergency response and offers a wide range
of emergency response capabilities. - Safety Shield include
customizable event triggers like active shooter, suspicious
activity, medical along with real-time reunification, attendance
and drill management.The SQA Engineer -will be responsible for
ensuring the quality of products by testing and verifying
functionality through assigned business unit and industry accepted
practices; test interfaces and document test results identifying
trends and escalating concerns as necessary; recognize deficiencies
and coordinate opportunities for standardization between internal
developed products.More specifically:
- Perform technical analysis of the project and implement the
appropriate testing solutions
- Lead and participate in developing test plans by defining an
approach, writing, reviewing, presenting and implementing the
plan
- Estimate, provide and justify the work effort for all tasks to
be executed
- Document and execute test cases to verify the system
functionalities and performances
- Assemble test environment and execute white-box and black-box
testing
- Build and maintain test automation platform (test scripts and
framework)
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging on application under
test.
- Responsible for the creation of system test results, release
notes and other related testing and deployment documentation
- Provide analysis and feedback to management and appropriate
departments regarding recurring problems, recommending improvements
aimed at reducing future occurrences of problems
- Participate in creating, administering, and continuously
updating procedures for resolution of all related issues
- Identify procedural and policy enhancements designed to
streamline and improve overall efficiency of the software
development processEDUCATION
- University degree from an accredited institution with major
course work in computer science, quality assurance or
telecommunications. - Equivalent work experience in a similar
position may be substituted for educational requirements.EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five years' experience in quality assurance or related
field required
- Minimum two years' experience in test automation
implementationTECHNICAL
- Knowledge of GitHub, Git, JIRA, Zephyr & Agile development
process
- Knowledge of a variety of PC and Server software and
technologies (e.g., Unix shell scripting, web interfaces, Unix,
Windows, SQL data bases) preferred
- Knowledge on Networking
- Knowledge of Cloud environment is an asset
- Experience in telephony is an asset -
- Knowledge on Selenium, -Python, Groovy and test automation

for this position is anticipated between $85,000-$100,000k and will
be commensurate with experience. Candidates may be eligible for
differential pay based on shift worked and premium pay for overtime
and/or being on call.
