That means ensuring continued growth and development opportunities to help you expand your skills while providing an enjoyable and supportive environment.In this role, you will:Enhance overall safety, quality, and productivity in the Sandwich Making area by eliminating defects, identifying, and executing loss saving initiatives, and building capability in the operating teamsDrive high-performance work culture by engaging with team members on the floor and coaching to problem solve, make decisions, and become self-reliantDevelop an expert level understanding of the manufacturing process, mechanics, instrumentation, and product specifications of your designated line/area; provide technical support to the line/area teamsCoach operating teams and leadership to root cause identification and elimination of lossesAddress gaps in line/area performance through the implementation and effective coaching of Smucker Continuous Improvement methodologies; foster a zero-loss cultureOwn a safety and/or quality key elementMaintain and improve technical and training documentation for the line/areaActive participation in training and qualification programs for designated line/area; participate in assessments, ensure effective training, and maintain consistent qualification standardsResponsible for reliability and quality data for designated line/area in Proficy plant applications software, including improving methods for collecting accurate dataOrganize and prioritize initiatives to help meet department master plan and plant long-term visionManage capital projects and expenditures; may lead multiple projects/initiatives simultaneouslyOwner of the Commissioning, Qualification and Verification (CQV) process for new projectsEmploy effective interpersonal time and resource management skills to complete projects assignmentsHelp organization stay current with applicable new technologies/ingredientsLead and execute plant start up Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV) activities within the assigned work areaThe Right Role for YouAre you motivated by the chance to help provide quality products consumers count on every day? If so, you are exactly who we are looking for to join our Company!What we re looking for:Bachelor s Degree in an Engineering field required (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience is required, food manufacturing preferredAbility to effectively engage, lead, and build capability on the production floorAbility to work and influence within a cross functional team environmentStrong analytical trouble-shooting, problem-solving, and root cause identification skillsSelf-motivated and can work independently with minimal direct supervisionUnderstands manufacturing automation systems and terminologyFamiliarity with PLC s, HMIs, instrumentation, and electrical schematics (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell software suite preferred)Proven project management skills and technical problem-solving capabilityExcellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Suite applicationsExcellent interpersonal skillsOpen to managing operating teams as needed (as backup or future assignment)Some travel may be required for plant start upWillingness to work off-shifts or weekends as neededWillingness to relocate for future opportunitiesColorado Specific Salary Range64,500 - 103,500This role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan bonusPlease see our employee benefits here: Learn More About Working at SmuckerOur Total Rewards Benefits ProgramOur Continued Progress on Inclusion, Diversity and Equity
