student-focused leader to join our team at WyoTech, where you will
play a vital role in shaping the overall student experience through
innovative engagement, support, and student initiatives. This
position provides strategic oversight of student activities,
leadership development, community service, prevention programming,
and case management, while ensuring students have access to the
resources they need to succeed academically and personally. The
ideal candidate is a collaborative and forward-thinking
professional who is passionate about fostering a welcoming campus
environment, strengthening student retention, and using data-driven
strategies to continuously improve programs and services that
support student success. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide
strategic leadership and oversight for student engagement programs,
including student activities, leadership, community service, and
prevention programs as well as a case management program Advocate
for the needs of the student body and develop initiatives that
build community engagement and retention and actively foster a
campus climate that is welcoming and supportive of the student body
Work with teams to plan and execute major campus community building
events, and other campus special programs that benefit the student
body Recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate full-time staff in
student activities and student support programs as well as student
staff in food pantry and prevention programs Develop and implement
onboarding and ongoing professional development programs for
full-time and student staff Foster a culture of accountability,
professionalism, and service among staff to promote a positive and
safe campus environment Support the continued development and
success of our student activities and leadership programs Oversee
the management of the extra credit tracking and communication in
each phase Develop and implement a robust community service
placement and tracking system to support increased student
volunteering Oversee the utilization of Federal Work Study funding
to support student staff positions across all programs Guide the
development and implementation of the Case Management Team at
WyoTech with outlined policies and procedures Ensure compliance
with HIPAA, FERPA, ADA, HLC, and other regulatory or
accreditation-related requirements Develop and implement student
well-being programs and services for continuous quality improvement
Work with the team to ensure students have assistance with social
service needs, including referrals to internal support and
community-based resources Coordinate with community partners,
social service providers, and support groups to enhance student
access to wellness services Develop and maintain MOUs with relevant
community agencies as needed Oversee the full academic
accommodations request, review, and approval process Provide
regular campus training on federal requirements for academic
accommodations Attend new student events and communicate with
admissions and Student Readiness teams to share information prior
to arrival regarding accommodations and transitions Oversee the
re-entry process for students returning from medical or mental
health leave Develop proactive mental health and other health
education programs, including interpersonal violence prevention
programming, including education on consent, healthy relationships,
and alcohol and drug prevention initiatives Work with the broader
Student Life and Housing teams to ensure students have support in
navigating challenges such as adjusting to student life, roommate
conflicts, homesickness, and other barriers to success Produce
annual program review, reporting, and assessment Serve on the
on-call team to respond to incidents involving student conduct and
crisis Work closely with the AVP of Student Experience and other
campus leaders to address student needs and improve the overall
student experience Develop an annual budget and track spending
related to student engagement programs Utilize data and feedback to
inform program development, operational improvements, and strategic
planning across all programs Assist the AVP of Student Experience
with departmental initiatives, planning, and other duties as
assigned Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum
Requirement (A combination of the following experience and
training, or the equivalent of, would be qualifying): Bachelor’s
degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs,
Education, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or
related field Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in
residential life, student services, housing operations, campus
safety, or a related field Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to move across campus and assist with event or program
activities Light lifting (up to 25 lbs.) for materials and event
