A full-time paraprofessional position is available to support a middle school student with multiple disabilities, including blindness. This role demands hands-on physical support and compassionate care for a larger male student in a K-12 school setting. The position is a contract role starting ASAP and continuing through May 22, 2026. Key Responsibilities: - Provide individualized physical and educational support to a student with severe multiple disabilities. - Assist with toileting and diapering as needed, maintaining dignity and safety. - Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists to implement student-specific strategies. - Adapt to reassignment across various school sites and age groups as required. - Maintain a punctual schedule, reporting by 8:00 a.m. for middle/high school assignments. Qualifications and Experience: - Minimum of one full year of experience working in school classrooms. - Significant experience working with students who have severe disabilities is strongly preferred. - Male candidates are required to support this specific student. - Reliable transportation is essential; public transit or ride-shares are not considered reliable. - Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check without any disqualifying charges. - Flexibility to work at different sites and with different students as needed. - Candidates must submit two completed Professional RefAssured references at the time of application.
