Job Description Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax/Staff Accountant to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role emphasizes building strong relationships with clients while delivering high-quality tax preparation and compliance services. Responsibilities: • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide consultative support. • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including 1040s, K-1s, trusts, S-Corps, and real estate/investment tax filings. • Assist with onboarding processes by handling backend tax work and supporting financial clean-up. • Gain exposure to payroll functions, schedules, and forms as part of expanded responsibilities. • Perform reconciliations and other accounting tasks to support financial accuracy. • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster trust and long-term collaboration. • Manage assigned accounts over time, ensuring compliance and overseeing financial processes. • Provide accurate and timely tax compliance services while adhering to regulations and standards. • Proven experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns. • Proficiency in tax preparation software such as CCH ProSystem Fx. • Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards. • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients. • Ability to perform reconciliations and basic accounting tasks. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. • Experience with trusts, S-Corps, and real estate tax is a plus. • Capability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
