Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Uses physician preference card to identify supplies and equipment needed for the scheduled surgical or emergency procedures. /n /n - Updates preference cards with any necessary changes. /n /n - Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure. /n /n - Prepares solutions and medications used. Properly labels and reports amounts used for charting. /n /n - Prepare back table and mayo stand anticipating needs of the surgeon and through the use of the surgeon’s preference card. /n /n/n /n/n /n The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n Required qualifications: /n /n/n /n/n /n - High School Grad or Equiv. /n /n - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from American Heart Association. /n /n - Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another clinical Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech. /n /n - Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). /n /n/n /n/n /n Preferred qualifications: /n /n/n /n/n /n - 1 Related Experience. /n /n/n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
