We are hiring a remote staff accountant to join our corporate team!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. You will be responsible for managing all fiscal functions of client funds and general accounting tasks. We're looking for a motivated team player who is well-organized and self-directed with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities

• Monitor the bank account and record deposits as needed
• Responsible for our client's finances, including reviewing and reconciling
• Assist with the Accounts Payable process as a reviewer and uploading appropriate files
• Prepare invoice and payment upload for providers
• Responsible for all aspects of billing for other states
• Work with team members in a courteous and coordinated manner
• Suggest process improvements and opportunities for automation
• Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), governmental rules, regulations, and Organization policies.
• Communicate, as needed, with team members, clients, and guardians regarding the client's finances.
• Act as the company client representative payee
• Perform other such duties as assigned within the scope of the position, as well as those reflective of professional experience, education, and ability
  Qualifications
  • Associate degree required in accounting, business, finance, or a related discipline, or 3 to 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint online
  • Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
  • Must work during core office hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm MST.
